Welcome to the Zou Huah Impression / Zovakhu blog, where you will find posts on viral themes, politics, religion, culture, story of suffering children,Justice to the poor and daily life. I request all student of the Zo`s to come out and fight corruption,Non-justice and the fail vision in our land.
The Scene in my hometown. I was sipping tea, with my friend Lun inside a Hotel on my first morning after two years in Delhi. That pretty girl with black-hair was invitingly attracting me. With her halter-top/neck, shorts and hand-set. Lun new my attention and chat her to my table. After our tea party, we went out with the girls for a new Mini-skirts Korean fashion (All knew well, when shopping with girls one have to explore the whole town for a single shirt, right?). There i just found out “Kol Chalak Pil”. These Kolte’s have the ability to manipulate the market power to serve their selfish interests. On the one hand they assumed the form of a monopolist and on the other they create artificial scarcity of the supply of goods. This way their power to exploit the peoples enhances. They succeed in charging higher prices for their goods and services. Unfortunately, no civil society or student organisation in Churachandpur worth the name has ever exerted pressure on the monopolist to end this concentraction of economic power. And end one root cause of poverty.
The above writing calls for serious reflection ont he notion of our hometown economy. It is taken for granted that the town rich and educated people were developed, there were economic development in every sphere. It may be observed that some of our people are advanced and they are in the administration of the state and central. Sons and daughters of these richmen, high-paid officers are driving motor-cycle of the latest brand and a good number of “Pulsar”; proudly driving while some Subingtal were pressing their breast on their back.
On the other hand, tens of hundreds of Zodawn people are living in deplorable conditions. With Zodawn economy in aggravation, agriculture is still the main occupation of Zodawn peoples. These people are more ebgaged in physical labour and depend more on seasonal employment. Comapred to the town peoples, they work all day long. When agricultural season is over, these people look out for alternative occupations. What they produce is very low and not on a variable economic levels. There is no suitable occupation opportunities to replace physical labour. Even if opportunities are given, their human resources are not capable of exploiting these opportunities. So, they need the rich, educated and high paid officers and professional attention, care and guidance.
Everyday i was wondering why our officers, professional, doctors (Ph.d etc.) and urban elites seems surprisingly unmoved by the plights of these people. It is a nightmare in believing that the Church and civil organisation will make it developed. But one thing for sure is that our poor Zodawn Economy is worsening. Instead of boiling in our small petty politics in Delhi, the educated, elites etc search and find some ways from Delhi to helps poor Zodawn people. They need the maps, money and guideline. We have unemployment despite opportunities. That’s because our human resources are not capable of exploiting the opportunities. So, we should speak out here to the government on behalf of Zodawn people. We can send a message to the government that theyu should focuss on livelihood training and make Zodawn youth a world-class workforce and focuss on natural resource based development.
What our homeland economy is going through is not unique. Perhaps the scale in Zodawn is worse than my story because of my small penetration in the villages. Almost all Zodawn village are going through a smilar transition i.e economic worsening. How material transformation is impacting attitudes is not clear. My father, a church elders and social visionary, tells me that the number of educated people leaving Zodawn to its own fate is on the rise. Halters-top and shorts coexist with monopolist capitalist, Pulsar with physical labour and increasing urban elites with exploitation of the poor. Oh, is this the Zou economy of the 21st Millenium encapsulated?
Note: This article was write up in an attempt to show to the intelligentsia and civil societies to be aware of the grievance faced by the people of Zodawn. It is taken for granted that Zou development was possible only when every individual were developed economically.

By: Hausienmuan Eid, a Muslim festival was observed all over the country as a national holiday on September 21, 2009. But for the Zou students in Delhi, it was celebrated in style and with a different ambience. The day was celebrated to foster the spirit of love, brotherhood and unity. Once again a large number of Zou students, more than 400 are counted, in colourful traditional attires from all over the city gathered at the premises of Sri Shankarlal Concert Hall, Delhi university, to welcome the new faces. Considered as an annual highpoint of the year, the Zou people have been constantly organising freshers' meet for the last seventeenth years. Held under the aegis of Zou Sangnaupang Pawlpi, Delhi Branch (ZSP DB), the occasion was celebrated with much enthusiasm.
The programme commenced sharp at 11:00 A.m. with the ZSP anthem "Thou Un, Thou Un..." led by the ZSP Cultural troupe and was set into motion with a prayer offered by Pastor S.k Mung which was followed by the welcome address from Pu Khaibiaklian, Chairman, Sub-committee Fresher meet. Later on, an/annual report for the term 2008-2009 was also presented by Ginshanglian, Secretary, Freshers report by Hausienmuan Munluo, information and publicity secretary and ZSP Study Forum-cum-Library report by Kamlianlal Co-ordinator ZSP Study Forum. A heart warming speech was delivered by ZSP Mother Nu Chiinkhannem and a song "Lawmgual ngai umte..." from Nunem and party touch the audience. The ZSP Golden Jubilee inspiring "Zopatong Chroegraphy" evoked a spirited response from the audience.
The introduction of fresher’s was the most attractive of the meet, Mr. Hausienmuan Munluo face the creative and well informed freshers and led the fresher parade, and it was followed by consecration of Fresher by Rev. G.K Joshua. Putting up a brave face, the newcomers came forward to introduce themselves. Pu Khakhai Zou inspiring speech was followed by the Zou cultural dance with boom..boom..
Dr. Thokchom meinya, Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha, was the chief guest of the function. Moreover, there were delegates attending the ZSP fresher meet from other sister student organisations of manipur like KSO etc.
Pu John Jamkhomang Munluo, election commissioner, administered oath of office and secrecy of the new ZSP Cabinet which includes- 1. President- Khaibiaklian 2. Vice-President- Samuel Samte 3. Secretary- Zuanneithang 4. Join Secretary- Kamminthang 5. Finance secretary- Naomi Haumuanching 6. Information secretary- Linda Nianglamching 7. Education Secretary- Kamlianlal.
Songs and music however dominated the programes. The longtime legendary star Jimmy Munluo and co. with their song "We are the world, we are the children.." evoked a spirited response from the audience, while some dance with joy, some tapped their feet and drummed their fingers to the tunes. Musical bands and artists such as the Zotal band, YWAM Band, Miss Naomi Haumuanching, Mr. George Mate and Miss Mangnu among other enthralled and kept alive the gathering throughout the session. . The Zou ballads like “ Khut leh khut kitu in..", "Sangnaupang siamsin momnou..." etc was sung. Besides the distribution of meritorious of award to encourages successful students, there was also Mr. and Miss ZSP contest, the idea was to make the freshers feel at home.
Then Mr. Hausienmuan Munluo, requested Miss Merina ZSP CBSE (Cl-XII) Delhi topper to present a very special song which was swift followed by Mr and miss ZSP declaration, Ruth Nemneikim was crowned as Miss fresher ZSP 2009 and Joseph Suanlianlal Munluo was honour with Mr Fresher 2009, the way the programe was organised added a new dimension to the celebration. The programme ended with the ZSP members getting determined to move forward with their motto "Thou Un, Thou Un.."
Note: It was the beast and well organised function in Delhi Zou history. Complete report coming soon on Zokuomthawn issue.
With another election just round the corner perhaps the time is right for the people to seriously start the search for a leader who can guide or represent us in every issue. Every Organisation, in its, human resource, have a hidden born leader, who the people should choose with care. If an organization appoint leader who lack sensitivity in dealing with people it will end up losing its trust. So, the people itself must appoint its leader in its human resource itself.
A divided society must choose a leader:- Who has deep insight into what makes the human heart tick, tune into the thoughts and aspirations of others and motivate people to give their best.- A leader who trust other and delegates responsibility. A successful leader resists the impulse to do everything by oneself even if s/he can. It will develop the individual.- A leader who teaches by example and depends less on the power of his position and more on personal charisma and influence.
To conclude:
A great leaders are people with high degree of integrity. They say what they mean and do what they commit to. Such leader can take a stand on complex issues and makes unpopular decisions keeping with his/her inner convictions. But with all our senior students all believing himself ever the best and good on negative criticism to any issue, then, on what ground should we make the choice? This is where the question araise; On what basis should we make our choices; Should it be along the ideology of the person concerned? Should it be about voting along rhetorics line? Should it be a dummy person who can be easily control? Or should it be about the personal quality and integrity of the person concerned? These are all questions, but the truth stands that the time has come for the Zou’s students to seriously choose a leader who can represent us at every issue and guide us forward to unity, keeping aside his personal interest.
We need a leader who doesn’t hesitate to do manual work, who can interact freely with the most junior members to the most senior students and who can always keep in touch with the families. But a leader should not be the monopoly of the elders.!
Student participation in Politics:As I was sipping tea with a pretty girls in Naraina, my attention was caught by the television screen. Hillary Clinton was addressing the students and teachers in Delhi University. Her speech; “…we have to focus on poor women and poor children because that is the generational change that makes a difference” spoiled my day at Leena house. Our conversation shift from ‘sweet-talk’ to that bullshit politics. Leena was with the view that students should shun from politics, and oppose the participation of students in politics. Here our politics means students and civil organization. Leena was argumentative and put up a strong case but on that day I tame Leena with politics. The question of the participation of students in politics has always evolved a lot of discussion. It has been a very controversial subject. In my own opinion students participation in politics should be encourage. Education does not only mean near literacy, it also means a total and all round development of the student personality. It makes students aware of what is happening in his society and in the world around. It also develops students the qualities of leadership. Instead of being a timid shy, book-worms, students grows into an aggressive, dominating and alert Youngman who know how to fight the battle of life. Our discussion goes on and leena attack me with some very interesting point. But I put forward my point with force and conviction and tell her that student life is the formative period in one’s life. If a student is totally away from politics, he is likely to grow into a lope-sided personality. People who do not participate in politic during their student life tend to be those who create hackus-ruckus in our society, they lop-sided from the main stream flow .I told leena that student should participate in politic then she slowly speek out and agreed with me within responsible limit. She agreed that all activities of organic politic are good for students to train himself and take part in it. Student leader should not be mentally torture. And student should keep themselves informed about what is happening in our society. They should not hesitate from jumping into active part if the situation threaten the unity of the society. After she speak out all what she felt, she stood their silent. That politic and my aggressiveness make Leena very upset. I said; “I am sorry to disappoint you Leena”. Before leaving for home; I told her. ‘Leena I am not a perfect guy for you but what I know is that you are always save in my heart”.
